Can lack of sleep effect blood glucose levels?

Question:
I've been getting less than 4 hours of sleep the last 5 days since I'm in the middle of relocating into another apartment in L.A., and you can imagine the kind of stress that is, and somehow I find it hard to go without food or "Carbs" for more than 3 hours and I get dizzy and shaky a lot faster. Can lack of sleep effect blood glucose levels?

Answers:
It absolutely can.

Other Answers:
I, from personal experience, notice its not the lack of sleep but the lack of subtenant food. if I go a day without eating breakfast and go outside, my blood glucose level goes down horribly and I become weak and clammy and dizzy. but I think that its a mixture of all that because once again your body demands SLEEP and FOOD.so try and be careful so find time to both eat and sleep. trust me because Ive had plenty of bad experiences with my blood glucose level falling below normal and me ending up on the floor, blacked out. so just make sure and have a piece of candy around. but most likely its a mixture of both. but sleep alone wont effect it,cause blood glucose levels are effected by food or there lack of.
I don't know about sleep, but stress in general and illness can make your blood sugar go up.
