and less carbs, but not no carbs, you need some carbs
less calories, but not no calories, you need some calories
lots of veggies
and fruits
and antioxidants
but more veggies
excercise helps you lose weight and is important for a well-rounded body, but if you don't want to build muscle then don't lift weights and things like that.

Cardio will most likely be your best bet. That includes running jogging, dancing, tai'bo, etc. But during the course of these you are bound to build a little muscle on top of toning and defining waht you already have. Also eating right will drastically help, and is very important. The better you eat the less you have to work out. But the is no other way around it, you have to do both.
BUT the more muscle you have the more you "burn". When you have more muscle and you use it effectively, even in the same ways you would when you didn't ahve the muscle, it is going to take more fats, and calories to power the muscle, and more protien to rebuild it. So having more muscle can help burn better, but if you dont want the muscle stick to cardio, and eating right.
do all cardio and no weight lifting, drink alot of water, eat healthy and try to cut down on the protein.i hope all goes well.
Huh?
While weight loss is your goal, there is no such thing as spot reduction. Body does not work that way.
Cutting calories is fine, but you will need at least 1500 just to breathe and move around. Anything below that is not healthy. I do not know if you are a man or a woman. These numbers vary slightly depending on your gender, height, age, body mass etc.
Goto http://www.mayoclinic.com and measure your body mass index before you start anything. Improper approach can lead to health problems and you will regret it later.
Weight lifting MUST be part of your exercise routine, whether you are man or a woman. Therefore, you will not "build" muscles.
Fat in your body does not turn into muscles. It is a myth. So don't worry.
cardio is the way, no weight training, and ofcourse calcium, green tea, protein and fibre rich foods, lots of fruits, veggies, and water. Don't go below 900 calories a day or else your metabolism will be too low to lose fat because yor body will go into survival mode. low carb is not good n the long run. you will need discipline and CONSISTENCY. I've spent several months reading on this stuff to lose weight myself, which I've successfully done. Good Luck!

I did it!
besides the usual as watching your fat intake.
Drink lots of water, it flushes the body,
and Yoga was great for me. I didn't realize how something so low impact not only reduced stress but got me in shape-without the muscles.
