I was getting really bad migraines that would start at the back of my head and well...ruin me. They kept getting worse and my body would ache and I felt like crap. My doctor gave me lortabs and although I have nooo problem getting some pain pills...I knew that wasn't going to fix my problem. So, I was referred to a neurologist. He couldn't find anything wrong with my brain, just said that I got migraines due to a genetic factor. I take Topamax now, which I love and hardly ever get migraines anymore (also have lost some weight...doesn't hurt!). Also, I found an awesome chiropractor that also does sports medicine. He let me know that yes, my spine was out of alignment, no I don't need to be popped, but adjusted. Main problem-my little muscles in my back and neck weren't strong enough to hold my spine strait...resulting in bad posture. So, now I exercise and do back and neck exercises which gives me better posture and actually affects my entire body and my head! It's crazy the way that a little bone in your neck or back can cause everything to hurt when not treated. Now, I go about once a month to see the chiropractor b/c my body is finally holding itself together. I feel great. Painkillers will just get you addicted in the long run though...although nice for a while...and good to keep around when you do get a bad headache. Also, the next day after taking a pain killer I would ache too. I don't know if that helps. I'm guessing you're talking about what I went through though.
Hopefully they will help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!
