i'm taking methadone for chronic low-back pain--is there any long-term damage that may occur to my liver?

I was taking the same thing, only 10mg of methodone but it was just too strong for me and sometimes it felt like i couldn't breathe...it was a scary feeling so i just went back to my Lortab which i know is probably worse on your liver cause it has tylenol in it..............i don't think Methodone has tylenol in it so it's probably not as hard on your liver.......Oh! I didn't think they made it in 5mg....my dr. said he was giving me the lowest dosage???? Oh well...........i'm off of it anyway but now i'm wondering if i should have cause i only had to take 2 or 3 a day...i was allowed 3 a day.............well, good luck..just be careful cause you KNOW they are addictive, just like most pain killers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I were you, I would try another kind of pain killer.
