Has anyone ever had a 'BLOCKED TEAR DUCT'?

Question:
This causes excessive tearing all day, and a real pain. There is an upper and a lower tear duct in each eye. Due to gravity, the important one to have working properly is the lower one.

Answers:
Not personally, but I work in an operating room where we routinely do simple tear duct probing and irrigations (unclogging) on many pediatric patients every week(pediatric O.R.). A visit to an eye doc should be your starting point. They could point you in the right direction to get it taken care of.
