Can somebody suggest a good home remedy for sore throat?

Question: I believe that I caught a really bad flu from my classmates - they've all been sick lately. Anyway, I started off with only a little bit of coughing and runny nose, now my lymph gland is frigging swollen and I've loss my voice when I woke up this morning. I'm not on health insurance at this moment so I'd love to try out some useful home remedies before spending my $$$ on the doctor. Can somebody give me some help?

Try some tea (perhaps green tea) with some honey. Also try the throat sprays (chloroseptic)...if you get the spray into the right spot, it works wonders.
