:`( sleep deprivation effects?

Question:
i tried searching for answers to how to recover from 5 yrs of sleep deprivation and found someone who has the same problem as me! i am experiencing horrible effects of fragmented speech and delayed reactions. although i can type okay, when it comes to writing more complex things, my memory sucks and i can't write at all. No one gave any good answers to the guy below, and I hope someone else out there may have something?

So basically, how do i work on memory and speech now? am i able to undo the effects on my adolescent years? or is it impossible

i started not sleeping well in 5th grade. im in 11th now. i almost never exercise but when i do, i get tired easily and cant go on. i need at least an hour's worth of movement to help me sleep, but it's a catch-22 b/c i am too tired to move and my muscles get sore easily.

I understand what you're saying. Not that you've had no sleep in five years, but not enough sleep. I think of that state as "the sleep deprivation tango".

By the way, the link you included is dead. But I'll assume what you've written yourself is a pretty real description of your experience.

First of all, no one else can give you a magical formula. Each person has to discover their own. You may have lost a good deal of the concentration that used to be available to you. But what you have written is more articulate than 99% of the questions and answers that appear here.

I don't think it does any good to think about what you can do. But it is necessary to look around yourself in the present moment to see what your options are. Engaging in the NOW is the only place you will find stuff that is real. Thoughts of what you could do to get from point A to point B are no more than indulgence in daydreams.

The room you're sitting in, the furniture, walls, computer, whatever is there - that's what's real. When you open up to experience that ordinary stuff, you will also experience THAT you are experiencing. Explore it. Your breath, sensation, emotions, energy. That's kind of a starting point. Where you go from there is up to you. But you can check out your delayed reactions and frustrations as well as the processes that are going along pretty much a they should. Be curious. What your mind might tell you is an infinitesimal piece of what your direct awareness can show you.

Best of luck to you. If you want to be in touch with me at any time, just click the picture of me alongside this reply. Then you can send me a message.
what do you mean five years of sleep deprivation? A human body cant survive past nine months of continuous consciousness. That is a proven fact... poor bastard that found that out. I think the record, actually, is four or five months of awakeness.
