There is nothing wrong with circumcising!

I had my sons circumcised after my youngest brother had tons of problems with his foreskin and needed to be circumcised!

It is much easier on a baby and its a good preventative step to future problems!

Unnecessary genital mutilation

Its easy, clean, the baby isn't gunna have any trauma. You never have to worry about phimosis, infections or smelly smegma beneath the skin. I think it helps the boy to remail cleaner throughout life. I would think that you would want to get it done right away, so the baby does not rmember the ordeal. It's not something an older child or adult would tolerate very easily. :-)

What the father is, is what the child should be and if you get it done it is cleaner and easier for a young child to keep clean.

My opinion is that its completely unnecessary!

Many people argue that it's "cleaner".but ask an uncircumcised man if he keeps his penis clean and I'm sure he'll say, OF COURSE!

I am a nursery nurse, in fact I did a circ today. The baby is strapped to a cold board by his legs, he is cleansed, then a cold instrument is put in place. The OB then uses a scalpel to remove the excess skin. The nurse plays an important role. She can give oral sucrose 24%. She can massage the baby's temples, while letting him suck on a pacifier. My babies usually don't cry. When I hear babies scream, I can't help to think he's being mutilated. Unless there is a medical reason, please don't put him through that agony. When he grows up and wants it done, then let him do it. But let him make that decision for himself. Don't fix what isn't broken.

I must tell you that I have taken care of at least 10 men in the ages between 60-70's. They had to have circumcisions later in life due to infections. Gangrene is deadly when it occurs in the penis. I have always been and advocate of circumsisions due to seeing these men and the pain they endure later in life. Once you see it you will never forget it. Trust me.

most of the asian kids..they get circumcized right after they were born. I think it's kind of sick. Would you like a piece of your genitalia clipped off?

It is easiest done about the 8th day. It helps with cleanliness, diminishing infections and other problems like phimosis. There is some evidence that circumcised men are less at risk for cancer of the penis. No reason was found the last I heard.

My boys age 17 and 20 are circumcised.
