My husband pinched a nerve in his back. Is there anything i can do to help him?

Question:
The pain he has starts from his lower back all the way up to his neck.

Answers:
In all honesty, it will hurt him, but give some deep deep massages. You will have to work the pinch out of the nerve. My husband had one in his upper back that was causing his left arm to go numb (hospital city there). I killed him for a week or so by digging under the muscle to get it to loosen up and he now has not had a problem in about three months. The doctors gave him pain medicine to "help" him deal with the pain. Needless to say, he didn't have to take them. Good Luck.

Other Answers:
massages, reiki, read bout it..good luck
Take him to a hopsital immediately. He could become paralyzed.

sports medicine
Go to doctor and get pain killers. Pain won't go away if he ignores it. Must see a doctor.
i have done this many a time! i found for me having somebody walk on my back does a body good! ;]
Don't do anything your self. Schedule a message and talk to the guy. Depending on how you move it you could hurt him very much. good luck. I hope he feels better soon.
Yes there is! I did the same when I was 9 months preggers. Hot baths, legs elevated, no movement from him for a day or two. If persists for more than 2 days, see a doc.
get him to a doctor..but first help him get dressed and put on his socks and shoes.a humbling experience to dress a spouse, but worth it if they admit to the hospital!

Unless confirmed by a physician, this might be more than a pinched nerve. It could be a herniated disk, or something similar.

The treatments vary depending on the individual but there are a few constants: don't strain the muscles, or do heavy exercises. Use an anti-inflammatory, such as motrin, and alternate it with acetaminophen to kill the pain. You can also try alternating heat with cold. a hot compress for 15 minutes, and then an hour later, a cold compress.
chiropractor

and out ice on it
message his shoulders and back and arms
and lightly his neck
have him do stretches with his neck right to left and front to back slowly

chiropractor.
consult nerve spcialist --dont be lazy-be active- dont worry ---use bed according to docyor advise
Why hasn't he been seen by a chiropractor by now? This is exactly what they are trained to diagnose and treat or make referral if advanced disc problem. They are nerve specialists.
