What causes no blood flow to joints and what is the outcome of it?

Question:
My mom was told she had no blood flow going to her shoulder joint and that she has had many old injuries to her shoulder, that she has never been aware of. Now they say there hasn't been any blood flow to it for quite sometime. They told her it may be a tumour or something.

Answers:
who told who? has she consulted a doctor? did she undergo tests? usually the joint would die if they dont get nourishment and o2, they would necrotize, eventually hindering movement in the shoulder causing infection too.
if its a tumor she might undergo surgery or other therapies.
Keep her safe, lessen her workload, goodluck!

Other Answers:
This is caused lack of circulation. It could be collapsed veins or just the way she functions. Lots of people get this to different limbs. Sometimes feet, legs etc. Don't get panicking about tumors. If you're worried, you should have it xrayed. You could try some gentle rotating exercises to keep her shoulder moving if this helps or swimming is good for just about everything.Good luck.
