I think all the remedies out there for hiccups only serve one purpose and that is to make you think about it. Unless you have a medical condition that causes hiccups, try my solution. You need a minute to sit quietly, preferrably without many distractions. As a form of concentration, prepare yourself for the next hiccup and wait for it to happen, when it does try to be ready to make it the loudest hiccup ever! I know it sounds stupid, but generally when you are thinking about it and waiting for it to come, it never does and they stop. I have shown it to all my friends and it has never failed to work yet. It just demonstrates the power your mind has over your body.
