Question about Health Insurance for Recent College Grads...?

Question:
I recently graduated college and I finally found a job. The problem is my benefits won't be available until three months later. Does anyone know of any health insurance coverage that would be beneficial for college graduates or someone in my situation in general?

Answers:
Look into temporary health insurance from a company such as Fortis. It is realtively inexpensive and offers coverage comparable to a regular insurance policy. I had one back in '99...we paid $60 a month for it...then I started having fainting spells, was hospitalized for 3 days and had the go through an outpatient test that cost $2500...we were covered at 80%. It was definetely worth it. Temporary health insurance is meant for people just like you.
You're best off just waiting 3 months , IMO. How often do you really need the insurance anyways? I haven't needed it for much of anything.
