if the fungal infection is still obvious put a natural yoghurt on the area at night the antioxidants will help cure it and also help the skin replenish the goodness it has lost (also eat more yoghurt to help your immune system after the antibiodicts you would have had to take). If the area is free from infection but crusty or flakey smear vasoline on the area to help remove the dried/damaged skin - both these methods are used alot with cradle cap in babies, i have found it works with any age group for scalp problems
