Nurses, do you like your job?
Question:
Answers:
i love my job. i love the variety that is available in nursing. i have worked as a nurse for 9 years now.started in the ICU, worked there for 3 years, and loved the autonomy and being able to make decisions on my own without too much oversight from the docs. then, i changed over to ER, which i love. lots of adrenaline and also alot of autonomy. i also have just started teaching part time at a local college, and i love being able to share my knowledge with other new nurses. ill soon be starting back to school for my master's to be an NP and hope to be an FNP in an ER someplace.maybe later ill double board and get my CRNA too just because i like the idea of that as well. lots of choices as a nurse and i love it!!

i love my job..i love my work place..i love my boss.
I like my job. I love workign with people, seeing their excited faces, and knowing i am helping them and making a difference in their lives.. because often times they are depressed or sad about their situation. the things I hate are the long hours, changing diapers all the time, and thats about it!! otherwise i put up with everything else Many nurses face burnout later in life. Honestly nurses are not treated as professionals in the healthcare industry. Nurses have fought for years by lobbying for professional rights to be treated on an equal playing field. This is especially true with advanced practice nursing. This is a major dislike. Also, older in life nursing becomes physically demanding. Often nurses must work back breaking work late into life. On the flip side, many people would not live or have been cured without nursing care. This is the best plus.
i love my job in that i am always helping people but bein on my feet 12 hours is exhausting and a lot of back breaking work, we are also exposing ourself to some very scary diseases, and not always treated and paid what we are worth, but it is a great occupation and very heart fulfilling.
I'm an ICU nurse and absolutely love my job
What I dislike about it? Crazy family members who are not understanding. And, non-immediate family members who get beligerant when the diagnosis is not explained to them due to privacy issues. These are the times I don't like patient care and want to get into case management.
