Lasik surgery: your experiences, costs and results....?

Question: I can see fine objects that are far away but trying to read is very blurry, I recently got reading glasses and my eyesight for reading has actually gotten worse. I was considering surgery but don't know of anyone have the kind for my condition. Has anyone here had the surgery? What are the costs and your results....

Answers:
I thought Lasik was developed for distance not reading? When I had it done I was told they couldn't do much about the natural ageing effect which difficulty reading is a result of. However, my father in law recently had it done and he has enjoyed an improvement to both types of vision.
