Question about Dehydration and Urine?

Question:
Why does your urine become so dark when you're dehydrated?

Answers:
Your urine becomes extremely concentrated when you are dehydrated. A large percentage of urine is water, which is why urine is light colored. Therefore, when you're dehydrated, there is less water in your urine and more toxins, etc.

Other Answers:
Because you're peeing out poop!
theres no water to diloute the urine. such as when you drink a great amount of water your urine turns almost clear
Because it's in a consentrated state.
I don't know about color but in Human Phys I learned that your urine isn't supposed to have a strong smell, that smell is a hormone that is released when you are dehydrated so that your body looses less water in urination. That may account for the color too but I can't say for sure.
Your kidneys need water. So if it's getting darker than usual, drink more water.
Because it is dense minerals and waste products from your body. Your body is trying to use a little liquid from your cells as it can to pass the stuff off.
I quick way to see if you're dehydrated: Raise your hand to your face. If the veins in your hand doesn't flatten within 30 seconds, you need to drink more water.
potassium and sodium is gone.. called electrolytes and therefore makes it harder for kidneys to function. The more you drink the lighter it will be. If you get concentrated amount of ketones in your kidneys it will shut down amazing thing our bodies to give uws the color of warning signs and smells.
The kidneys filter out certain wastes from the blood along with water. They also remove water from the body. The more water that is available, the more the kidneys will flush into the bladder. If you are dehydrated you are seeing the waste products getting concentrated in the urine. This is not good for your kidneys or bladder. Drink more fluids, especially water.
because you need to replenish your body with alot of fluids and nutrients when you become dehydrated it sucks out all of the nutrients your body needs to function properly and also you become very thirsty that is nwhy you need to drinks lots of water and fluids when you become dehydrated its like your draining your organs thats why the pee is so yellow
Because you're body hangs on to water, so you're concentrating your waste products, which can clog up your kidneys. Its always best to drink a lot of water or caffiene free/sugar free drinks, like Crystal Light or diet soda to keep your kidneys flushed out and keep the waste products out of your body. Below is an interesting article I found when I was going to nursing school and I had to do a paper on dehydration.

Du to the liquids level in your body are less than normal, and so the urine, the elements in the urine become more concentrated than the normal (More quantity of elements per cubic centimetres c3) then the color become more intense thanks to the concentration of elements.

Sometimes when you're dehydrated the bladder walls rub together and cause bleeding. The blood in the urine causes the darker color. Drink lots of water to avoid this problem or painful kidney stones.
The rubbish your system needs to dispose of travels in two directions. The bulk and easier waste goes through the backside.

The rubbish that is passed through urine needs water not just to carry it but also to dilute it.

The more dehydrated you become the darker the urine becomes. This is a sign of danger.

You are putting both your liver and kidneys into difficulty which could quite quickly lead to organ damage and failure.

Simple dehydration causing urine to colour can usually be remedied by drinking water. The more dehydrated you are the less drinking water is effective. you need electrolites and the best for that is sports drinks.

Allowing yourself to become dehydrated can be dangerous and the less water, the darker the urine the more it will burn to pee.
