contacts while showering?

Question:

i think i might have gotten soap on my contacts cuz my eye stated to burn and got a little red i took my contacts out like 30 mins later could i have damaged my eye or is it just irritated.

Answers:
Just badly irritated. Clean the lens case and lenses well to make sure you got all the soap out. don't wear contacts for a day or so untill the red goes away. You can use over the counter drops for irritated eyes until the irritation goes away. Don't use the eyedrops while wearing contacts though.

Just irritated. just remember not to shower with your contacts in because soap irritates the eyes regardless, but especially with the contact solution, it makes the irritation much worse.

It's just irritated. Use some artificial tears if it still bothers you and clean your contact lenses very good before you put them back in. If you get up in the morning and it's still irritated, don't put them in.

That's happened to me a few times..
Still shower with my contacts in though, otherwise I can't figure out which is the shampoo, and which is the conditioner

You are going to be all right. you just got them irritated, that's all.
do you really need to have your contacts in when you shower in the first place? Because, if you are slightly near or far sighted, then, you can take them out so that when you shower the next time, this incident won't happen again.
