about 9 months to a year
6 months to May be never. If he's easily agitated he could be prone to extreme violent out bursts.
It all depends on which parts of the brain were damaged and how he responds to therapy. I think the first answer is a pretty close estimate.
It depends where he hit his head. My mom says that if it was in the front of his head, and he experienced hemerging, it could be a quick recover, because there is more blood flow, in general in the front. If it was in the back, near his spinal column, it could be a couple of months. It will be a slow recovery, but noticeable. He should definately be check out by a doctor if he hasn't already

6-9 months should give you a pretty good idea of how quickly he is going to recover - he may never fully recover - head injuries are tricky in the sense that they can permanently alter someone's personality - if things haven't changed withing 9 months to a year it probably never will
This is not the forum to be asking this question unless you want inaccurate info..please talk with your BF's doctor or at least talk with his parents..(the problem is patient confidentiality) the brain is a wonderful organ..it can change in moments..get the right info so that you aren't guessing and asking people to throw answers at you..The doctor can give some advice on how to help your BF get better..talking with him..etc..I wish your BF, you and family many blessings..
Was he in the hospital for any length of time? Was it a concusion or brain injury?
