Hey some medical help please?

Question:

i hurt my knee five years ago and three years ago. Ever since the three year one my knee hurts when i have my period like my back does. It been hurting for a whole week now and doc said i hurt the back of the knee and it just arthits and gave me anti infamatory i dont think it would hurt this much and it locked up once after being in the same position though can anyone help?

Your best bet is to see an orthopedic doc and have this checked out. You may have some damage that is not visible on normal x-rays. Without seeing your knee or the results of the x-ray people here can only guess what the problem might be. In the mean time take the anti-inflammatory meds and use heat or ice which ever feels better and use a brace if that helps or an ace wrap. Ultimately you should see an ortho doc though to get his opinion and diagnosis.

Better see another doctor and have your knee examined properly. You may need to have some cartlidge scraped and removed.

Your best bet is to have it X rayed or an MRI to find the cause of the problem, before starting to take medications. Get different opinions from Docs
