Stress Fractured Toe?
Question:
Does anyone also have the same injury and what are the steps to be taken to aids it recovery. It has been almost 2 years and the pain is still there. Jogging is painful but I need to keep fit. Any recommendations on footwear, cushions and training regiments?
Answers:
I had a bad sesimoid problem, although mine was from a direct accident. I was able to heal fully through the use of foot orthotics. They made me foot inserts, with a chunk taken out under where the sesemoid bone is (so therefore there;d be no pressure on it). It took most of my pain away in the short term, and allowed it to heal for the long term. Plus, they cushion your feet better than anything you can buy over the counter , AND align your back.so it's a win-win situation all around!

did you receive proper medical attention after the injury?
if not, it sometime happens that the fracture does not heal properly and fluid can get into the fractured part of the bone. when healing, this fluid is enclosed in the bone pressurizing it. i myself do not know how to treat that (if it's what you are having). most patients have to live with it for the rest of your life.
but that does not have to be you: please go to your doctor and tell him whats wrong, he can do what's necessary to find out what is really wrong, and usually the problem can be solved.
good luck to you.
have it xrayed. look for a "non-union" fracture. If that is the case, it won't ever heal. I've seen them removed, as they really don't serve much purpose. See an orthopedic surgeon, or a WELL_KNOWN podiatrist.not some quack.
