I have a ligering edema in my ankle for a month now. How am i going to treat it. Is there a way to avoid edema

Question:

Answers:
usually there is an underlying problem. of course, first always check with your doctor to see what is going on. in mild cases, they may give you a diuretic. stay away from sodas, and salt. lots of salt content in sodas, that makes you retain more. keep foot elevated as much as possible. at night, i would sleep with it elevated, so that by morning you have much relief. if you are heavy, this can attribute to adema too.

I hope this one gets some answers because I have edemas in my feet and ankles, and my doctor can't find out why.
Try elevating your legs above your heart for at least 30 minutes every afternoon. Talk to your doctor about taking an 81 mg asperin (baby asperin) daily as well. There could be other larger problems with this and I would definitely talk to your doc because ankle swelling is often a symptom of bigger heart problems.
