Answers:
Assuming you are referring to Tachyphylaxis?

For those of you guys who aren't sure what it means or who have never heard of it, it is a medical term describing a rapidly decreasing response to a drug following administration of the initial doses.

It depends really on the person.

I've smoked cannabis for 13 years now and it still effects me but not in the same way.

When I first started smoking it I got the giggles quite alot - it would have a "positive" effect on my mood - make me happy, laugh alot - really happy.

Now I use it for it's anaesthetic properties to help me relax, unwind and sleep.

I started smoking cannabis resin (mainly because of the cost) until I realised how toxic it was compared to bud (the natuaral state of the plants buds -dried and smoked)

Resin or Hashish is mixed with allsorts of nasty things including oil and plastic which it collects during the process of making the plant into resin.

Don't get me wrong - you can buy premium stuff that is 100% pure hash BUT it normally costs more and I suspect you boys aren't buying the top grade stuff just the cheap street grade stuff.

They may find that the effect lessens over time and I just hope they don't bow to peer pressure and go chasing another high.

I will smoke cannabis for the rest of my days as I really enjoy it and its cheaper than alchol, it doesnt give me a hangover and when I'm with friends who also smoke they don't get loud and violent like other people I know who only drink and go picking fights when the go into town for a night in the bars.

Alcohol is 10 times worse than cannabis - and it's legal !!!
I'd guess not usually, because I've known people who smoked it for years and they still seemed to enjoy it, taking doses at roughly the same level.
