I'm an ER nurse. I have seen many corpses, stemming from drowning, lightning strike, car accidents, shootings, stabbings, carbon monoxide poisoning, heart attacks, respiratory failure, heat stroke, hypothermia, and many others.

Death is a part of life. What is surprising is that with over 6 billion people in the world we don't see more corpses.

If you are genuinely interested in seeing a corpse, visit your local morgue. You might be allowed to see an autopsy. As long as you are respectful, there shouldn't be too much of a problem. I think seeing a corpse helps you realize how short our lifespans and how precious it is.
