what does blood in your pee mean?

Question:
so i just went to the bathroom and there was blood in my pee..now i know i have a bladder infection.the thing is my insurance wont kick in for another 3 months.if i wait whats the worse that can happen? can i die from it?.i really dont want to go to the county hospital its just so dirty there and it takes hours but i will if i have to.

Answers:
Go straight to the hospital. Do not pass Go. Do not collect $200.

Blood in your urine does not necessarily indicate anything serious, but if there is enough you can actually see it, it may be of concern. Most people don't even notice blood in their pee when it's there!

The "worst that can happen" is it could be a sign of bladder cancer, which is no big deal if you catch it early. But if you give it three months to spread throughout your body, it could mean the end of you!

Go see a doctor. It's only money!

How many razors did you swallow?

it can make you sick insurance or not they make over the counter medicine and drink cranberry juice and you need to get to the docter asap

Drink lots of water. Like a cup every 5 minutes. Get cranberry juice (not diet) and drink tons of it.as much as you can without throwing up. You might be able to find cranberry pills. Keep drinking. YOu will have to sit on the toilet constantly. Is this really better than the hospital? Bladder infection, kidney stone, several other possibilities, NONE of them healthy. Check with your doc!

I would go to the MD and get a prescription. An Rx for a UTI is not very expensive. When blood is involved, it's never healthy to prolong whatever the cause of it is. As well, it may be worse than a UTI. I know a UTI burns, but I didn't know that it bleeds. It could be worse. Go to a doctor.

Go to the hospital chances are you could probably die from it if you wait 3 months or even 2 days you could.

You may also have kidney stones.. The hospital is not allowed to refuse you treatment just because you don't have insurance.. Go to the emergency room asap.It will not get better on it's own.. go to the doctor right now!

I don't mean to scare you, but that is the first sign of bladder cancer.

go to the doctor immediately
