A blood vessel in my ring finger keeps popping and bleeding, is this a symptom of something more serious?

My question to you would be do you have any other medical issues, and have you had your blood pressure checked recently. Constantly popping blood vessels may be a sign of high blood pressure, especially if there is no injury associated with it.
Now it is possible that you had an initial injury that caused damage to the vein that you were not aware of and now it is very fragil and keeps tearing with normal usage (ie its not getting enough time to properly heal and you are putting tention or stress on the vessel and it just keeps popping.
If you take motrin, naproxin, or asprin on a regular basis you may just not be healing because you are decreasing platelet formation which is very important when it comes to healing and bleeding. (It prevents propper clotting so you will bleed easier and longer)
Now nutrition has A LOT to do with healing. If you have a poor diet, then you will heal very slowly. High sodium in the diet is not good for anyone and can contribute to blood pressure issues, cardiac issues, and kidney problems.
You should see your doctor to have it checked just to be safe

Your finger turning purple usually means little to no oxygen is getting to that area. Get to your doctor and let them take a look. Explain to them what you just posted here. I wouldn't wait for answers, go soon. It could be a sign of something underlying.
