How do you convert an eye glass rx to a contact rx?

you can't. It's a separate precription. The eye is "measured" for contacts.
I don't know much but I would think that you would go down a little for the contacts. For example, if the eyeglass prescription read -2.75, the contact prescription would be -2.50 or -2.25.
Maybe an optician will be on to answer your question correctly.
