random pain in right arm...what can it be?

Question:
I thought I had just slept on my arm wrong. I am going to probably go to a doctor cause its been for about a week. Just wondering if you know what it could be. a little under by shoulder and sometimes where my elbow joins hurts. pain like if my bone was being hit. it hurts a lot but not always. also its mostly when i go to sleep-during the night, and when i just wake up.

Answers:
It sounds like it is the way you sleep. If your neck is flexed too much, it could be causing some interference in nerve conduction to the arm. Or the should joint itself could cause similar problems. The nerves that supply the arm go through a number of muscles and if those muscles are tight, they could impinge on those nerves. I suggest seeing a chiropractor, they can help, and without expensive test (unless necessary) or toxic drugs. If you don't see a chiropractor, go to www.sorsi.com to find a doctor near you, if you are in Minnesota near St. Paul, email me or go to my website at www.healinghandschiro.com.
It could be high blood presser
