What are the dangers of drinking or using drugs while on antibiotics?

Question:

The antibiotic is Ketek (telithromycin). I would like to know about any dangers or interactions possible when used in conjunction with alcohol, marijuana, or cocaine. I am also currently taking Prednisone, a steriod which helps with swollen glands.

well i am not sure! i guess i would be honest with your dr or call the pharmacy and ask if there could be a danger i no there gonna say not to do it but you wanna no if there is a danger. i dont think the antibiotics will work as well with you doing these things. i no this is not part of your question but maybe you should consider substance abuse counseling not being judgemental i am concerened i lost a brother to drugs and almost a son i am sorry if you think i am preaching to you i am just offering advice maybe you could atleast consider my words good luck to you i hope it all works out lanay feel free to email me if you wish lanay40@yahoo.com
