any OBGYN's or Doctors or Nurses out there?

Question:
This is the second time that i've been on the depo shot.. I started back on it in january about a month after i had my little girl. Well i go in tomorrow for my next shot. For the past month i have been spotting on and off for 2 or 3 days every 2 or 3 days. For the about 36 hours i have been bleeding heavily with some tissue clots in it. Also i've been experiencing alot of discomfort in my abdomen and lower back. What does this all mean and what should i do about it?

Answers:
You should go to the doctor NOW. It sounds like a miscarriage.
it means that you have to go and consult with your gynecologist. a little intermenstrual bleeding with any injectable, oral or implant contraceptive is just part of its expected side-effects but heavy, continuous bleeding is definitely not normal. there are a lot of things that may be going on in there. and the doctor may need to do a curretage and a biopsy... and yes it may also be a miscarriage. go see your doctor tomorow or asap.
