any DR's can tell me what I can do about a trapped nerve in my neck i have had for 3 days?

Answers:
Ask your doctor for a referal to a good physical therapist - one who is McKenzie certified (www.mckenziemdt.org). We specialize in treating problems like this. We need to evaluate you first to determine what is causing the signs and symptoms you have - I would not want to advise you over the internet, you need a full evaluation.

In the meantime, apply ice every hour for 10 minutes - this will help decrease any inflammation you have in the area. OTC antiinflammatories would also be of benefit.

Good luck!

Im sure drs can tell you. go see one or ask NHS direct hope you feel better

I had a trapped nerve in my neck and my doctor referred me to a physiotherapist. I visited her once a week for about 3 months and although she was able to relieve the pain, it has never completely corrected itself.

I have come to the conclusion that this nerve is going to be trapped for the rest of my life and little things like sitting at the computer are going to continue to be a problem for me.

I have learned to put up with the almost constant pins and needles. If you visit a physiotherapist, you might have a different outcome and be completely cured.

Good Luck.

Not a Dr but I have had this. I took ibuprofen plus parcetamol which cured the pain and meant I could move my neck. If you don't move it it will take longer to fix. A chiropractor can also help but it is expensive. may be you try having some exercises

sure a DR can tell ya, for $70 or so, maybe a chiropractor can help

Trapped nerves are often to do with feeling trapped in your own life in some way. Is there anything that has been stressing you out recently? Any aspect of your life you feel trapped in? The problem with doctors is they treat the symptoms and not the causes. Still, I hope the pain gets better soon.
