Does this mean my ear might be infected?

Question:

i got my ears peirced this is my second time but anyway i forogt to clean them for couple of days now i started again with alhohol and one side is fine but the right side of my ear when i turn the earing like i am supposed it hurts. but no redness or anything.
what i can i do just keep cleaning it if it is infected or take out my earing. I do not know what to do i never had an infection from ears periced b4 i know it is not allergic reaction bc im only alregic to fake jewlery i know this is real gold.

I have had some pain from time to time but if it is not red or ***** I think it is just irritated keep up the cleaning and turning and I believe that it will get better.

do not take them out
just instead of turning and cleaning them twice a day
try doing it 4x a day.

you beter be very careful with this or you could be in line for big trouble. if it keeps being sore you better either go to the doctor or take out the ring and give it two days if its not better then by all means go to the doctor

It does not sound like it is infected. You should clean with something other than alcohol. Alcohol is very drying to the skin and it burns with no good reason. Anyway most of the piercing places now give you a bottle of cleaning solution to use and this is fine otherwise you can use peroxide. Put either on with a cotton ball and make sure it is wet enough that when you squeeze it on one side of your ear it can follow the earring stud into the ear lobe. Also do not turn your earrings. All this does is break down the new tissue that is forming inside the piercing in essence making it take much longer to heal. The piercing will heal around the post of the earring, it cannot heal to the earring so don't worry about it. As far as infection you should watch for redness, swelling and discharge. If these things occur you could need a doctor but it is highly unlikely for a simple ear piercing. If you are really worried about it go to wherever you had your ears pierced and let them take a look at it.
