hi,im going on holiday in 5 weeks to dominic republic.?

Question: can you tell me when do i start to take malaria tablets,and do i need to take more medication.and where to buy any medication i need thankyou.

Depends where you live. In the UK you can buy the antimalarials at a dispensing chemist. The current regime for the Dominican republic is Chloroquine, taken once a week. You start taking it one week before you go, once a week while you are away, and continue it for four weeks when you get home. You need to be checking with your doctor as offhand I can't remember which shots you need.
