what do you think about antidepressants? do you think they are effective in the treatmant of depression?
Question:
Answers:
It totally depends on the person. Anti-depressants alone will not help....Anti-depressants with counselling will. Most people suffer a depressing period sometimes in their life. The anti-depressants a doctor prescribes is to calm you enough so you can work out a solution to your problem.....and usually people who have suffered depression have suffered it for a reason. Something has happened in your life to make you this way. The situation and how you are dealing with it is what needs to be worked on and if you rely solely on anti-depressants then your problem will never be solved. Anti-depressants are a band-aid treatment...the real answer lies beneath the bandaid...eg, what caused the wound.
It all depends how your situation is on how long you may need them. its best discussed with your Doctor. yes for many they help the symptoms of depression. All the best...
