I often get water stuck in my ears how do i get it out it drives me nuts!?

I know one can put menthol ointment around the ear but this doesnt always work in severe cases and it takes long to work. Does anyone have an alternative suggestion to having your ears syringed at the doctor?

Answers:
Put one single drop of alcohol into your ear. It will evaporate the water. I'm a swimmer/diver/water sport extraordinaire, works like a charm. One drop, no more no less. This is not damaging at all. The only way it's not safe is if you use way too much. One drop will evaporate with the water.

put cotton in your ear to get the water out and put it in you ear before you do what ever you where doing to get the water in your ears.
