I've been wearing conventional contact lenses--the ones that last a year?should I switch to disposables?

Question:
I'm worried about the cost of disposables. But if disposables are are safer and better, what brands are good specifically among the monthly disposable contact lenses for astigmatism?

Answers:
The Bausch and Lomb Accuvue Toric disposables are good. But, all contacts are truly aggravating in my opinion, and the torics are very expensive. If your astigmatism is not real bad, you might be able to get away with wearing the soft ones.

However, I had Lasik performed about 5 years ago, and would have saved a fortune on contacts had I done it sooner. It has been a god send for me, and there are many ways to finance the procedure.
Yes, i think you should! Disposable lenses that you change every two months are much more healthy for you and your eyes. Also, no buildup forms on the bi-monthly kind unlike on a set you use for an entire year. I wore contacts for years from ages 18 to 33. About a year ago I was fortunate enough to be able to afford lasic. If you have the chance to get the corrective surgery...I highly recommend it! But if you can't you should switch to a lens that gets changed more frequent then one year.
