Cracked Heals?

Question:
What is the best thing to take care of cracked heals. It seems in the summer my heals crack very badly, and it hurts to walk.

Answers:
At night wash your feet and rinse them - or just spray water all over them. Don't dry them and use a heavy duty cream like Eucerin (Vasaline would work too) all over them and put some old socks on. Sleep with the socks on if you can or until the cream is absorbed. You may want to put some Neomyocin or some first aid cream on the cracks if they are bleeding. If you do this your feet should be better in a few days and all better in a few weeks.
Also take some A & D vitamins along with some E. And use a healthy oil on your salads also. When they get better treat yourself to monthly or bi-monthly pedicures to keep them in shape.
I think cheap shoes or flip flops are not good for our feet.

Other Answers:
sorbeline cream. Just massage it in 2 times a day until the cracks have healled over. Also if you have time apply vaseline to the cracks. This is a miracle cure

Lotion and socks..Thongs , sandles, and going bare foot is what's happining to your feet. Try wearing half socks and sandles for a few days and you will see a difference right away. First thing is soak your foot in epsomsalts for 30 minutes the lotion them down. Try Avon's Foot Works Therapeutic Cracked Heel Relief and also their advanced moisturizing foot cream. I get the same thing, but in the winter. The heel relief has a numbing agent, so it will take away the pain. The moisturizer will make it soft and heal better. They both work really well.

some lotions are good there's one called corn huskers lotion it works great esp. if you beaching it and wearing flops, but need to apply two or three times a day

Before going to bed, put petroleum jelly on your feet and them wear cotton socks (like Hanes). Trust me you'll See a huge difference in the morning. Keep doing that until they're baby smooth. Sorry but its heels not heals. Anyway, soak your feet often and it sounds like you may have a lot of callus buildup. Start soaking your feet every night in warm water for about 10 to 15 mins. Then begin by scraping your heels to remove the dead skin. There are different tools out there you can get for this. If you have a lot of buildup its going to take several treatments to accomplish this. Also after each soaking and treatment, dry your feet and apply a generous amount of foot cream or regular body cream to make them soft. Do that every night until you achieve the results you desire. Also you may want to stay away from open heeled shoes/sandals until you feet are better.

I've tried lots of products. The only one that worked for me was a Shea Butter Bar. It looks like a bar of soap and you scrape small amounts of Shea butter off of it and rub into your feet. It works and feels wonderful. More and more products/lotions feature Shea butter and they are fairly easy to find.
