I have pain in my ankle, and heel. See below for more information.?

Question:
I have a tendency to sprain my left ankle several times a year. Recently, I thought it was a sprain, but the pain was not a localized as usual. After treating it as directed bt the Dr. I am still in pain. The pain radiates from the outside, just under the bone/joint around the top of my foot and up the shin, as well as around the back of the ankle and up the calf. On top of all this, I am getting serious pain and discomfort in the base of my heel when I stand, or walk. I have an appointment with for an ultrasound, but can any-one suggest a possible reason for this ankle pain?? Thanks. Answers:
Please go see a sports doctor or foot and ankle specialist.
sorry, don't know what's going on there...but you might wanna try my home remedies for pains.

heat pounded two thumbs of ginger in baby oil, place it in any cloth (cotton) or gauge as same size where it needed, fold it and place carefully as hot as you can stand on the painful area. wrap it with bandage and leave it there for few hours. three times a day, leave it on over night if you decide to make it before bed (recommended). it's gonna burn like bengay. it worked on my husband's painful shoulder joint that no doctor can say what's wrong with it...
if this is too much trouble for you, ice pack. i use iced bottle water on my aching back
