I wake up tired, why would this be?

Question:
I do have trouble sleeping sometimes due to a pain medication that causes me to be alert for in the middle of the night but that is only occasionally. Most times I sleep all night with aleast 7-8 hours sleep. I do snore and have been told this can be bad? Why do I feel so tired in the morning and tired all day and its a huge effort to get through work during the day?

Answers:
It could be a number of reasons. Alot of what you have already noted may contribute. Also it could be your matress and you are not getting comfortable and toss and turn. Another is sleep apnea. This is when your body will not allow you to go into REM sleep which is the deep sleep you fall into. Ever jump as you are falling asleep? This is a reaction to that. My father has it and he gets only the equivalent of 4 hrs during an 8 hours sleep.

Other Answers:
Maybe your job sucks real bad.

im guessing your not eating right. have a look at what your diet consists of, maybe get some vitamin tablets. or just go see a doctor. I suggest that you visit a doctor immediately. This could be because of a multitude of reasons from side effects of your medicine to chronic fatigue to depression.

You are not entering into REM sleep, your body is fighting you all night to sleep. You might see your doctor about this, If it is not the meds your on tell him about the snoring, It could be a sleep disorder and life threatening. I had a friend that died in his sleep from it. Go tell your doctor!

i think, (1) u watch late night movies, or go around late nights or for pubs and parties, it is very well known that, early to bed and early to rise. (2) May be u are too dedicated towards ur office work. (3) may be over dosage of medication

It could be sleep apnea. It makes a person constantly stop breathing during their sleep, half waking them, thus the person does not really get a full night's sleep, nor restful REM sleep
