what can I do to protect my gums?
Question:
Answers:
Eat raw onions. IT WORKS !
Seriously, it does, bu changing the acid environment in the oral cavity to alkaline, and by the natural bactericidal nature of the sulphides in the onion.
I am not saying it's easy. It's an acquired taste. But if you want it bad enough you can. I know I did. I used to have bleeding, swollen gums for two decades.
NO LONGER.
Try at first to julienne one half onion, sprinkle some salt on it, lert sit for one hour, rinse off under faucet. Eat mixed with rice or other foods to buffer the string taste , then later eat as vegetable.
I have been surprised by the halt to my gengivitis after just six-months of this routine.
Every other day, nit even daily.
Do you speck your dentist to tell you about this "state-gery" ?
Not by the hairs on your chinny-chin-chin, likely.
Other Answers:
Brush regularly with good tooth paste.Use a mouth wash
To increase the amount of tarter and plaque removed, angle your brush slighly upwards and brush in a circular motion. Also, you should ALWAYS floss at least once a day. Brushing your tongue, roof of your mouth, and sides of your cheeks will also decrease the amount of bacteria in your mouth. If you haven't been doing all these things and then start, you may notice that your gums bleed. This is okay, it means that your gums are not healthy now but they will improve if you keep up the regimen.
And oh yeah, see your dentist regularly for Xrays and cleanings!
keep your mouth shut Go to your dentist every 3 months for mouth cleaning. Brush your teeth at least 3 times a day. avoid to eat too much sweets and chocolates.
you gotta floss your teeth. remove all the eeky plague that is stuck in between those teeth and that should keep your gums pink.
Mouth wash is good as well but flossing does a cleaner job Brush the gums as you brush your teeth and rinse with a total caremouth wash.
