How can I help my husband quit smoking?

Question:
He wants to, but the patch hasn't worked and the gum didn't help. His addiction might be more mental than physical.

Answers:
Have you considered hypnosis? A good hypnotist can usually determine why he smokes, what he could do instead to satisfy the craving or addiction, and find the underlying causative factors that led him to begin smoking in the first place, and then use guided imagery and positive health suggestion to help the smoker decide to take a healthier path
Take all smokes out of the house even though he might get mad. dont let him use chewing tabacco at all its worest then normal smoke.

when i was younger like 9 i got tired of my grandparents smoking and makin me smell like smoke so i blew snot in his cigrettes he didn't smoke that whole day and i would hide his carton of cigs
Remind him of the side affects. show him pictures of cancer, especially those from second hand smoke and remind him that it is affecting you too. Since he loves you that will probably wake him up. Plus taking it slow will help, set up goals. And don't forget to be his cheerleader. And if you have kids, remind him that he wants to be in their lives and yours for as long as possible.
