Why do I feel like I need a lot of sleep lately?


Question:
My boyfriend and I can't wake up to the alarm clock anymore. Usually he's up at 6:30 every morning, with or without an alarm and lately it's the opposite. Is there something in our diet that might be affecting our sleep? Do we need something we're eating too little of? (or the opposite?) We are in a cycling team (but we have been for 4-5 years, so it's not new) and we work regular hours (also have been doing that for a while). So what else could be influencing our sleep?

I could be any number of things. Your diet, stress..anything could be going on with you too. Maybe it's just that the snuggling feels so good, it's too hard to wake up!

If the problem continues, just run it by your dr.

Try rearranging your room. You may be getting bad sleeping from the room being the same. Sounds weird but I have to change mine at least once a year.
if it's happening to both of you you might want to check the environmental factors. make sure there are no substance (gas type) leaks or anything. strange it should be happening to BOTH of the people living in the house. perhaps it's contained to your bedroom. (speculating that other people live there that are not affected). otherwise if there are others living in the house with the same symptoms, that might be the answer. (just a suggestion at this point)
Do a blood test and check for Vitamin B12 levels, if it's okay then it might be stress, your diet, ..etc
okay, first thing, get the to a doctor. you are normally active healthy people with a ton of energy. and now you are tired all the time. chances are you just need some different vitamins than you are now taking, an increase in certain foods, but because of your normal healthy lifestile, this change is disturbing. probably easy to fix but you certainly don't want to try it off the advice from a web site. doctor, asap

sometimes the nights are shorter than others so you tend to oversleep.also, maybe you sleep too late and the body needs to recover its strength.

This is cos of weekness, and this happens due to improper diet. You shd fill the gaps between two meals with some fruits or light snacks or juices . Also it happens cos of caffine addiction.
