I have had this before and it sounds like you may have pulled the muscles between your ribs OR you could have cracked a rib. There is no REAL treatment except to take a lot of pain meds, but it will stick around for a while. Does it feel like someone stabbing you every time you take a breath? Unles it gets really bad I would save some money and not go to hospital.they will take a million x-rays and blood samples to check for infection also..
Its impossible to answer this question without knowing some more information. Did you injure yourself? Are you coughing anything up? Do you drink a lot of alcohol? There are a few things that it could be. I would advise going to your family doctor or an urgent care office where he or she can properly diagnose you.

I had the same exact thing (same side too). If i walked to much i had the same kind of pain. I had some x-rays done and I turned out to be pnemonia. I would have some xrays done but dont trust me- im just 11 years old. i had pnemonia 2 summers in a row and now its coming back. but im not sure how you feel so.
