Alot because with a 'piss test' you can mess it up by taking certain medications or eating substances. With a swab test it can test everything that has been put in your mouth and can't be altered by drinking water because spit is secreted from within.
I've had the swab test done in the past before. and the reason they do that is because you get quicker results.
