head injuries?

Question:

in 02/28/03 i was shot and pistole whiped badley. when i woke up in the hospatal 4 days latter i had bolth lungs cloasped. i have a head ach like a hangover,numiness, dizzey spells, ringing in my ears that times is veary louad, and have a hard time sleeping.
the doc's at the hospatel did not address or ansewr any of my questions in this, let alone any kind of testing.

i would like to help you find an answer but i need a little clarification and a few more details. i am a trauma nurse with 8yrs experience in both ICU and ER.

1) How many times and where were you shot?
2) Are there any bullets/fragments still in your body? if yes, where?
3) Where is the numbness?
4) How long were you in the hospital when you were shot?
5) Did you have any surgeries while you were in the hospital?
6) Have you seen/read your hospital chart that documents all treatments/medications/tests you received for this incident?
It is your right to review (with your physician present to explain) your medical chart. You also have the right to have copies of all documents in your chart -for a fee at most hospitals. It is possible that some tests were done while you were unconscious during the first 4 days.
7) Have you had the headache, numbness, dizziness, ringing in ears & difficulty sleeping from the very beginning or did you develop these symptoms gradually since the incident?
8) Have these symptoms gotten worse or stayed the same but just wont go away?

I apologize for answering your question with more questions but I think with those details I can help you much better.

Obviously, you need to see a doctor....especially if you have not seen anyone since being discharged from the hospital 3 years ago.
