Question:
My ferritin levels are low. I need to up my iron. What is a good product to take for this? I don't want any of the iron sulfates.

Answers:
you do need Ferrous Sulphate unfortunately, there's no alternatve. However you can buy over the counter (in UK) "slow release" types which lessen the symptoms are gastric disturbance (indegestion, constipation etc) and are jst as effective.
me too
you can take ferrous gluconate or similar instead, there are some time release products that supposedly don't give your innards so much grief. 50 or 65 mg of iron. even two a day. Also liquids. apparently, if your iron is low, you can't raise the level with even a mildly elevated intake, you have to really pound it in.
