Your finger does sound infected. If it has been like that for more than just a few days and it is getting sore, if would propably be a good idea to have it checked out by a doctor in case you need antibiotics. Sounds like an infection to me. Drug store will be able to give you some cream for it.
Or, sterilize a needle and puncture a hole through it. That would release some of the pressure. have it treated by doctor for proper medication.
sounds like your cuticle is damaged/irritated. a yellowish pus would be present if there's an infection. try neosporin oinment, it's an over the counter med. good luck.
please suggest to some dermatologist that would be better than inserting a needle and pressurizing some fluid to come from your finger
