I have been getting hiccups alot recently, like 4 times a day. Should I be concerned or talk to a doctor?
Question:
Answers:
If you get them in the morning, in the first 2 hours after waking up, you have a form of sleep apnea.
You might not be getting enough oxygen, that can cause hiccups.
Talk to your dr. He will probably run some tests. Also talk to people in your family. Sleep apnea is generally genetic. mother or father who snores.
Other Answers:
no, its only hicups.
Not at all. Just be calm. Eat and drink slowly. Drink plenty of water. Whenever you get hiccups eat little sugar and drink water. It's a normal thing, nothing to worry. When you are eating and drinking, try to remain calm and peaceful.
You sound stressed. Relax and take things slow.
stop drinking so much carbonated drinks and start drinking more water
One of my friends taught me this because I seem to get hiccups at least 4 times a week. What you do is you take a glass of water with a straw in it, bend over, and make sure your upper half is completely bent over, as if you you are touching your feet. Drink the water through the straw like this, and finish the entire glass if necessary. Do this for at least 40 seconds, and your hiccups will be gone!! It is the only thing that works for me, and it works quickly
It is not due to sleep apnea, its simple hiccups due to irritation of phrenic nerve.take water when develops and the other method is when you experience a hiccup press your nose with your thumb and index finger tightly and at the same time do full effort to expell inspired air but dont expel it,repeat thrice, you ll get rid of it in some days.try it . it is experienced by thousands of people.
Yeah call your doctor.

NOT AT ALL! My friend had that happen to her all the time. She would get a drink and soon it would go away. But if you are concerned you should definitely go to the doctor.
do breathing exercise every day. close you left nostril and take a deep breath hold it for few seconds and exhale from your right nostril. then inhale through your right nostril while keeping the left closed with your thumb. hold it for few seconds and exhale from left nostril. repeat this 10 times initially gradually increasing the frequency every week. this is best done in the morning in open and fresh air.
It could be absolutely nothing, but it could also be a sign of a more serious condition. If it doesn't stop in a day or two, please see a doctor, something may be blocking a nerve that innervates the diafragm. Again, it could be just hiccups.

nah it is normal
You are obviously concerned already. There is an irritation somewhere. Maybe you have eaten something the you are allergic to, or ate something that scratched your esophagus. It could be a lot of things. Make an appointment for next week, so you can calm down and not be concerned. If it goes away, you can cancel. If it doesn't go away, you will have the appointment. Relax and be sensible.
