Drinking too much water can remove eloctrolites which are the things that cause synapses. The slowing of synapses can cause muscle weakness, shaking, things like that. When that happens all you need to do it eat something salty which will help the body retain more of the water so you do not feel as weak.

yes you can drink too much water. Its alot and I know of noone who has but if you drink too much water you can have a water toxicity, an electrolyte imbalance that can be fatal. Its a huge amount of water. As a rule water is fine, as much as you wish to drink.
I had that problem in May of this year & ended up with kidney stones.

what ever dealing with "TOO MUCH" means you go beyond the STANDARD of perfection and this apply to everything in our life. Too Much water would definitely have the side effect especially the quality of drinking water which is not up to standard of what your body need or acceptable and even the quality of water is as per our body standard but TOO MUCH would regard with STORAGE and storage wold be relate to DIMENSION and so on and so on. yes you can over hydrate. Your cells could fill up and explode from too much water. there is balance for each person, you have to find your own.
