Is there a way to get rid of hiccups? i know they leave by themselves but is there a way?

I saw an episode of Sesame Street where they told you how to get rid of hiccups. It has worked for 20 years for me. Put your fingers in your ears while drinking water. It is best if you use a straw. I'm pretty good at using water bottles. You will get a few looks that way though.

Just kidding. Drink a glass of water without taking a breath until you start to feel like you're going to pass out if you hold you breath any longer. That's the only way I know, but it works every time. Or if you don't have water, just holding your breath sometimes works, but not as well.


put your head in a plastic bag and count to 10 or higher I just eat a spoon of peanut butter and that always works for me.


A method that ALWAYS works for me is to take a sip of water, bend over at the waist and swallow the water. Hold your position for a few seconds.. it should work! If not, drink more water! :-)

what works for me is..take a kleenex.not the perfume kind just plain and put it in a glass of water..drink the water straight down without a breath.DON'T swallow the kleenex tho..hope this helps.
