I was told that it is illegal for a c.n.a. to sort laundry in a nursing home in Nevada. Is this true?

This issue was addressed in Nevada by an executive director of a nursing home in a rural area.

I'm a C.N.A. here in Colorado, I have never heard anything like that. I have sorted patients laundry before. Find out what Nevada's laws are. Look up on the internet:

That sure sounds absurd. What do they do if there isnt a laundry person on the shift? I have worked in several nursing homes and I know that as long as someone has shown you how to work the machines you can. They can not let the laundry pile up, someone has to do it. I have done it several times. Sometimes it was when there was too many stna's on the shift and i was offered to either go home or work in laundry and i took laundry. Hey it was a nice evening, i didnt like the smell but i tollerated it. Of course not.. someone is trying to pull your leg.
